Sustainability, Responsibility and Environmental Stewardship
We source materials from suppliers that support responsible forest management through programs such as the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI), including chain-of-custody practices that trace forest-based products to sustainable sources.
Our boxes are made with eastern white pine—Ontario’s official arboreal emblem—and can be finished with environment friendly natural oils or water-based stains. We do not use paints or lacquers.
We use natural jute handles and biodegradable aspen wood excelsior sourced from suppliers committed to renewable materials and sustainable forestry.
Energy-efficient LED lighting, dual-Y CNC machining, and nesting software help us reduce energy consumption, improve material yield, and minimize production waste.
Our advanced dust-collection system uses variable-frequency controls, automatic blast gates, and a briquetter to conserve energy, reduce dust and waste volume, and maintain a healthier workplace.
We support a safe, positive workplace through machine-safety instruction, hazard-specific policies, appropriate personal protective equipment, and worker health and safety training.
